Chrome Effect

1. Start a new document, I chose 400x80.

2. Filter-Render-Clouds


3. Filter-Sketch-Bas Relief. Click OK.


4. Filter-Sketch-Chalk and Charcoal. Click OK.


5. Filter-Sketch-Chrome. Click OK.


6. Duplicate the layer then Filter-Sketch-Water Paper. Click OK.


7. Set the blending mode to overlay and the opacity to 70%.


8. Merge down then duplicate again. Filter-Blur-Gaussian Blur of two pixels then set the blending mode to overlay.


9. Press CTRL+U. Make sure the Colorize box is checked, and play around with the settings to achieve a color you like. Here's what I got when I set the numbers to 211, 25, 0.
